Descrição
Around the Fish Quay in Hartlepool gulls hang around, especially on the roof. Often joined in winter by Gaivota-polar and Gaivota-hiperbórea. In the harbour entrance Eider-edredão, Mobêlha-pequena, Mobêlha-grande and Arau-comum can often be seen. Sea watching by the lighthouse can produce a large variety of gulls, ducks, auks, terns, skua’s and shearwaters at various times of the year. The rocks along side the promenade are home to Pilrito-escuro, Ostraceiro and Rola-do-mar that winter in Hartlepool bay.
