From the Zarro-bastardo to the snowy white Gaivota-polar, the birds that can turn up at Hollowell Reservoir provide hours of birding. Other bird species you might spot include Falaropo-de-bico-grosso, Pilrito-comum, Borrelho-grande-de-coleira as well as alvéola-amarela, Chasco-cinzento, Cartaxo-comum and Petinha-marítima. And, if you are lucky, you may even spot Águia-pesqueira and Ógea that regularly pay a visit. Note: Access to Hollowell Reservoir Nature Reserve is available for permit holders only (see more info below).

Access to Hollowell Reservoir Nature Reserve is available for permit holders only.
