Thanks to its size and rural location Kessingland Beach rarely feels crowded, even during the sunniest summer days, unlike beaches further up the coast at Lowestoft. The beautiful beach has protected nesting Andorinha-do-mar-anã. Lovely beach walk for Andorinha-das-barreiras. Large lagoon for wading birds with sand pipers. Reed beds for warblers and Abetouro-comum and woodland for Cuco-canoro. A superb half or full day bird watching with a full variety must not be missed at the right time of year. Other birds that can be seen here are Gaivota-tridáctila, Borrelho-grande-de-coleira,schol Ostraceiro, Cotovia-cornuda and Laverca.
