Knypersley Reservoir is a nice place for birding. The woodland has a rich birdlife, and the birds are habituated to human presence. The open water also has some waterfowl. Overall, this is an attractive area for a walk and the birding is close by the paths. Nice birds you can see here are Chapim-palustre, Trepadeira-do-bosque, Trepadeira-azul and Merganso-grande.

The car parks are open from 9am until dusk and the Visitor Centre is currently open on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from 2pm until 4pm all year round, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
