Llandegla Forest is one of the few places in Wales to see Galo-lira lekking. The RSPB have a hide and as of 2022, guided walks, see their website. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are Noitibó da Europa, Lagópode-cinzento, Petinha-dos-prados, Coruja-do-nabal, Esmerilhão, Cartaxo-comum, Cartaxo-nortenho, Cuco-canoro, Tordo-comum, Pica-pau-verde, Águia-d'asa-redonda, Milhafre-real, Tartaranhão-azulado and Chasco-cinzento.
