Descrição
Beautiful views and plenty of places to explore in a relatively small area, including the pier, rockpools, and beach. Parking and places to eat also in abundance. Huge noisy colony of Gaivota-tridáctila breed underneath the pier in late summer, allowing for very close and intimate views of chicks and adults with little disturbance. In summer, this is a reliable place to see Gaivota-de-cabeça-preta, often side by side with Guincho-comum. Through winter, flocks of Pilrito-sanderlingo, Ostraceiro, and Gaivota-argêntea can be seen regularly, along with Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Alcatraz-comum, and gaivota-da-asa-escura. Mobêlha-pequena have also been reported here.

Can be lots of people fishing on the end of the pier, but are often happy to let birders through to see the Gaivota-tridáctila.
