From September to November, and in April/May Painswick hill is good for seeing migrants, especially early morning. Hundreds of Pombo-torcaz, Tarambola-dourada, Tentilhão-comum, Estorninho-malhado, Tordo-zornal, Tordo-ruivo-comum and Gaio-comum can pass through. Also Tentilhão-montês, Lugre, Bico-grossudo, Escrevedeira-amarela, Ógea, falcão-peregrino, Esmerilhão, Melro-de-peito-branco, Milhafre-real, Gavião da Europa and Tartaranhão-azulado possible. 4 miles south of Gloucester on B4073 Painswick road. M5 junction 12. 66 bus from Cheltenham stops nearby. Be aware of golfers, dont obstruct play or become an accidental target. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4,5 km.
