Peterstone Gout has freshwater ponds, tidal mudflats and scrub. A large variety of waders in spring and autumn, passerines including rouxinol-dos-caniços, papa-amoras-cinzento, Cartaxo-comum and Chasco-cinzento. Other birds you can encounter are Garça-branca-pequena, Coruja-do-nabal, raptors and Frango-d'água.

Short distance south of B4239 between Newport and Cardiff. M4 J30 from Cardiff or J28 from Newport. Very limited parking at south end of Outfall lane, then walk west along/below sea wall for one mile. Otherwise seek parking permission from Golf club, Garden centre or walnut tree farm park nearby.
