Descrição
The Puffin Cove is a small island with impressive numbers (thousands!) of Papagaio-do-mar burrows from late April to August. Along the cliffs, species such as Torda-mergulheira, Arau-comum and Corvo-marinho-de-crista breed as well. Although the Papagaio-do-mar can not be approached and seen from very close range, their numbers and associated activity are definitely worth a short detour, especially in the peak of the breeding season.

The site is located along Scotlands northern coastline. Puffin Cove is closed to vehicular access. There is no nearby parking and it can only be accessed by foot. After a short walk along a (sometimes unclear) path through moist moorland and small stream (Wellington boots advised), you'll reach the cliffs, from where you have a decent view on the island.
