Richmond Park and Glasgow Green are close to the city centre and accessible by a footbridge over the River Clyde. Glasgow Green is the oldest of the city's parks and has some interesting monuments. Both parks are easy to combine for a visit and offer some relaxed urban birdwatching. The area has trees, bushes, grasslands, sports fields, river banks and a big pond. Among the birds you can encounter are Cisne-vulgar, Zarro-negrinha, Merganso-grande, alvéola-branca, Pintassilgo, Trepadeira-do-bosque, Tentilhão-comum and Pintassilgo.

The parks are easy accessible on foot from the city centre. The People’s Palace café in Glasgow Green is a nice place for lunch.
