Roundhay Park has 700 acres of parkland, lakes, woodland, gardens and a mansion house. There is 1 small lake which many birds breed on and 1 large lake. A dense woodland with almost all woodland birds present. Plenty of trails. Its a nice place to bird as you can get around 40-50 species on a visit if you are lucky. During the winter months expect larger number of ducks and thrushes and during summer warblers such as Felosa-comum and Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto turn up. Other birds you can see are Periquito-de-colar, Guarda-rios-comum, Estrelinha-de-poupa, Chapim-preto and Pica-pau-malhado-grande.
