Descrição
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Pato-preto, Pato-fusco and the rare Pato-careto together. Also wintering here may be Eider-edredão, Pato-olho-d'ouro, Merganso-grande, Mergulhão-de-pescoço-ruivo, Mergulhão-de-pescoço-castanho, all 3 diver species, Pilrito-escuro and Merganso-de-poupa.
Laverca, Petinha-marítima, Ostraceiro, Perna-vermelha-comum, Borrelho-grande-de-coleira and Pintarroxo-comum breed here, plus Cruza-bico-comum, Lugre and Estrelinha-de-poupa in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Toutinegra-gavião, Felosa-bilistada and Papa-moscas-pequeno may turn up in September.
