Staines Moor consists of alluvial flood meadows and is of year round interest. Winter and spring are great for Coruja-do-nabal, coruja-da-igreja / coruja-das-torres, Frango-d'água, Petinha-ribeirinha, Narceja-comum and Narceja-galega. During the summer rouxinol-dos-caniços, Felosa-dos-juncos and Guarda-rios-comum breed. In passage periods major rarities such as Picanço-castanho and Cegonha-preta have occurred.

Acesso
You can park on Moor Lane in Staines or Hithermoor Road in Stanwell Moor. Moor Lane has good signage explaining access and Hithermoor Road has a public footpath by the side of the North Basin of Staines Reservoir (you cannot view it from this area). Click on a P in the map for directions. Reaching Staines Moor by train or bus would involve a 30 minute walk from central Staines. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 3 km.
