Descrição
An area of woodland, managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust, once a tidal creek now silted up. The out and back footpath runs along one side of the reserve. This footpath can be best described as challenging in places and can be very wet and muddy, suitable footwear is advised especially following periods of rain. The majority of trees in the reserve are Grey Willow (Salix).
The reserve was once a good place to see both Chapim-palustre and chapim-montês, but today they are only holding on in very small numbers.

Tywardreath Marsh Nature Reserve is close by St Andrews Road Pond and Nature Reserve, so close in fact you use that reserves car park (free) to visit the out and back marsh. As with St Andrews Road Pond, the A390 main road is just to the North. Press P on map for directions. Alternatively arrive by train at Par Railway Station on the Paddington to Penzance mainline.
