Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has Abetouro-comum that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a Andorinha-das-barreiras colony on the river Crigyll, plus Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, rouxinol-dos-caniços, Felosa-dos-juncos, Felosa-malhada, Cartaxo-comum and Laverca. In winter Pato-trombeteiro, Piadeira, Marrequinha-comum and Arrabio. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
