Description

Finca Santa Catalina's bird is the near endemic Scaly-breasted Hummingbird which can be easily seen close by, feeding itself and singing constantly. The finca is located on farmland, tropical dry forest and grasslands surrounded by mountains. More than 200 bird species have been recorded on the farm grounds.

Finca Santa Catalina allows for easy access to birds like Great Antshrike and Yellow-tailed Oriole, both of which can be spotted near the ranch. The site also offers wide chances to see Crimson-backed Tanager, Black-backed Antshrike, Tropical Parula and many others. Also, many raptors like Great Black Hawk, Grey-lined Hawk and a often the King Vulture.
