The Avant-port is a port zone that includes several basins along the river Rhine. It is easy to see the birds from the riverbank. Many Lebădă de vară and Lișiță with some Rață mare and Cormoran mare year-round, and Rață moțată and Pescăruș râzător in winter. During a cold winter, Ferestraș mare is sometimes seen.

The Avant-port of Strasbourg is located on the eastern outskirts of Strasbourg, along the Rhine River. Easy to reach by car or bicycle. Press P on the map for directions. Several tram and bus lines run close to the port area.
