Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site that is transformed into a natural reserve and recreational area. In winter, it is easy to observe many Rață moțată and Rață cu cap castaniu. There are also many Pescăruș râzător and Pescăruș cu picioare galbene. In summer, there are only Lebădă de vară, Lișiță and Corcodel mare and a few Corcodel mic.

Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site located in Bischheim near Strasbourg. It's quite far from the tram stop, so it's better to take the car or a bicycle. There's a large parking lot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk around the lake is approximately 2 km.
