Description

Burg Linn is popular with history enthusiasts and families alike. It's also ideal for bird photographers, as the birds are quite accustomed to people. The park is open year-round, except during the Flachsmarkt (traditional craft market) in May, when birdwatching is not possible. The park features open meadows where you can observe Porumbel gulerat, Porumbel de scorbură, Cioară neagră and Coțofană. There are designated dog-friendly meadows in the center of the park, as well as fenced pastures for cows and horses.

The park also boasts large ponds where you can often spot Rață mare, Lișiță, Găinușă de baltă, Gâscă egipteană, Rață moțată and Lebădă de vară. With a bit of luck you can also find Corcodel mic (they're often found in the nearby Greiffenhostpark when they're not in Burg Linn Park), and in winter also Rață mică can be spotted. Stârc cenușiu is common.

Numerous songbird species can be found in bushes and trees, the most common being Pițigoi albastru, Pițigoi mare, Măcăleandru, Silvie cu cap negru, Pitulice mică, Cinteză, Sticlete, Graur, Mierlă and Sturz cântător. When you are lucky you can spot Muscar sur or Botgros.
