Description
Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of Gâscă de zăpadă. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as Rață moțată, Rață mare, Rață pestriță, Corcodel mic, Cormoran mare, Găinușă de baltă or Lișiță. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including Sturz cântător, Sturz de vâsc, Țiclean, Cinteză, Sticlete, Florinte, Măcăleandru, Pițigoi albastru, Pițigoi mare and many more. If you want to see the Gâscă de zăpadă, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
