The Foix Delta is located in Cubelles, Barcelona province. In its final stretch the Foix river runs through a heavily urbanized area. During spring and autumn, the river mouth is a good place to observe passerine migratory bird species like Rândunică roșcată , Silvie roșcată estică , Muscar negru , Lăcar de stuf , Sfrâncioc cu cap roșu , and also shorebirds like Fluierar de zăvoi , Fluierar cu picioare roșii , Fluierar cu picioare verzi , or Prundăraș gulerat mare. Prundăraș de sărătură is one of the most iconic species. Other interesting species that occur are Stârc galben , Stârc roșu , and Cârstel de baltă.
The following species are present all year round: Stufărică pătată , Stufărică , and Silvie mediteraneană. Seabirds can also be observed resting or bathing in the lagoon, notably Pescăruș cu cap negru , Chiră de mare , and Pescăruș mediteranean. At sea, notable species can be observed such as Ielcovan balearic , Ielcovan , Cory's Shearwater , and Corb de mare.

Access
The Foix Delta is located in the town of Cubelles, about 50 km west of Barcelona. The area can be reached by car, and it is easy to park in the Municipal Sports Centre. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Public transport: Getting there by train is easy. The train station of Cubelles (1) is on walking distance (500m) of the Foix Delta. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,5 km.
