Description
The mouth of the Riera de Ribes stream can be found at the end of the seafront in Sitges. The most interesting ornithological aspect of the site are the seabirds, with interesting species like Pescăruș mediteranean, Pescăruș cu cap negru, Chiră de mare, Cormoran moțat, and Corb de mare. Some rarer species that can be seen are the Cory's Shearwater, Ielcovan and Ielcovan balearic. In winter Ferestraș moțat has been seen several years.
In the reeds Stufărică, Lăcar de stuf, Astrild cu cioc roșu, Presură de stuf, and Silvie mediteraneană can be heard and seen. Aquatic species like Rață mare, Egretă mică, Stârc de cireadă, Stârc cenușiu and Pescăraș albastru are present in the water course.
Close to the mouth of Riera de Ribes is the Golf Club Terramar, and the greens are good to look for birds like Mărăcinar negru, Fâsă de luncă, Codroș de munte, and Pupăză.

The mouth of the Riera de Ribes is located at the seafront in Sitges, and can be reached by car, or by walking if you are in Sitges. You can park right there (click on the P on the map for further directions).
