Lillängsgölen is easily accessible by a bird observation tower. The lake is best from May to June when the breeding birds arrive. In the reed Lăcar mic, Cârstel de baltă and Presură de stuf breed. On the coastal wetlands Cocor, Sitar de pădure Becațină comună and Nagâț breed. Cufundar mic, Corcodel de iarnă, Rață mare, Rață mică, Lebădă de iarnă and Rață sunătoare breed on the lake. Some years Fluierar de zăvoi, Rață cu cap castaniu, Gâscă canadiană, Erete de stuf, andȘoimul rândunelelor breed.
In the forest around many pine favouring birds breed, some more common are Cocoș de mesteacăn, Pițigoi moțat, Sfrâncioc roșiatic, Cocoș de munte, Brumăriță de pădure, Capîntortură, Ciocănitoare pestriță mică, Ciocănitoare pestriță mare, Ciocănitoare neagră, Pitulice mică, Uligan pescar, Uliu păsărar, and Șorecar comun.

Lillängsgölen is located 18 km northeast of Eksjö. There is a small parking lot next to the road. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The trail to the birding tower (500 m) is not clearly marked.
