Description

Alpe Cruina is an excellent area for birdwatching thanks to its alpine habitat, which varies from pastures to rocky areas and wetlands. There are several nesting and migratory species, including Acvilă de munte, Stăncuță alpină, Zăgan, Forfecuță, and Cinghiță alpină.

Access

Alpe Cruina is located along the road leading to the Passo della Novena / Nufenenpass, with parking available (click P on the map to get directions) and a bus service from Airolo. There are several trails in the area leading to Nüfenen, Corno Gries, Piansecco and the S. Giacomo Pass.
