Description
Mauensee is a beautiful lake, complete with a little island boasting it’s own castle. There’s a trail leading around the lake (3,3 km). It's a beautiful walk very close to Sursee. Barză albă, Stârc cenușiu are breeding birds here. During migration anything is possible.
Among the birds you can see in winter are Rață lingurar, Rață sunătoare and Ferestraș mare.

Best accessible by bike but also by car. You can park in the parking are of the Baumeisterzentrum and then walk to the lake.
