This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including Cufundar mic, Corcodel cu gât roșu, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including Rață de ghețuri. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including Scoicar, Piciorong, Ciocîntors, Fluierar negru, Prundăraș de sărătură, Ploier argintiu, Pietruș, Sitar de mal nordic and many more. Also Pescăruș mic, Cresteț pestriț, Chirighiță neagră, Chirighiță cu aripi albe and Chirighiță cu obraz alb and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
