Çelebibağı Marshes has different habitats that attract many bird species. The landscape is unique with vast mud flats in the Lake Van closed basin. Shorebirds and other water birds are abundant and the diversity of birds is impressive. Among the birds you can observe in the area are Călifar roșu, Flamingo roz, Cârstel de baltă, Cocor, Rață cârâitoare, Piciorong, Ciocîntors, Prundăraș gulerat mare, Erete de stuf, Șerpar, Șorecar mare, Boicuș, Prigorie, Dumbrăveancă, but also rare birds like Lebădă de iarnă, Lebădă mică, Notatiță and many more.
