Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Barajı is a big artificial lake directly to the east of Denizli. Many water birds are attracted to the area. Among the birds you can see on and around the reservoir are Barză albă, Corcodel mic, Egretă mică, Ploier auriu, Ploier argintiu, Pietruș, Nagâț, Nagâț sudic, Prundăraș gulerat mare, Prundăraș gulerat mic, Rață cârâitoare, Rață fluierătoare, Rață cu ciuf, Rață moțată, Rață roșie and Flamingo roz.
