Description
Blakeney Point is a National Nature Reserve and AONB. Thriving nesting site for Chiră de baltă, Chiră polară, Chiră de mare and Chiră mică. Also Pescăruș râzător and occasional Pescăruș cu cap negru. Common and grey seals breed. Winter wildfowl such as Eider, Rață neagră and Gâscă cu cioc scurt. And rare passage autumn migrants such as Sfrâncioc mare, Fâsa lui Richard, Pitulice cu sprânceană galbenă and Silvie porumbacă. Lăcar mic and Lăcar de stuf in the reed beds.

Access
Parking at Cley for those attempting the long difficult walk on shifting shingle to the point. NB the Visitor Centre is currently closed. Park at Morton Quay or Blakeney Quay for boat trips. Check tide times as the car park can get flooded, also boats only run 4 hours either side of high tide. See the link to the tides table below.
