Description
Chafford Gorges is a beautiful nature reserve set in amongst a new build housing estate, with lakes overlooked by a huge white ravine. A network of pathways take you around lakes, meadows and woodland. Among the birds that you can expect to see are Pescăraș albastru, Ciocănitoare pestriță mare, Ghionoaie verde, Lăstun de mal, Rață lingurar, Rață moțată, Corcodel mic, Uliu păsărar, Lăcar mic, Lăcar de stuf, Silvie cu cap negru, Sticlete and Stufărică. In winter, the gorges are visited by birds such as Scatiu, Inăriță mică and Rață cu cap castaniu.

The park is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station. When you choose to arrive by car there is a free car park on site. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
