Description
The brickworks only closed in the 1980’s and since then the buildings were cleared with just concrete foundations and a brick wharf giving any hint to the history of this site. Privighetoare roșcată and Turturică can be heard, and a colony of Pescăruș cu cap negru are usually found nesting offshore on Fowley Island. Among the other birds you can encounter in the area are Silvie mică, Gâscă neagră, Călifar alb, Cuc, Ferestraș moțat, Ciocîntors, Scoicar, Ploier argintiu, Nagâț, Culic mare, Fugaci de țărm and Sitar de mal.
