Description
Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Ferestraș moțat flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find Mărăcinar negru, Presură de stuf and Fâsă de stâncă during the winter and if you are lucky Pasărea omătului. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Gâscă neagră, Nisipar, Fugaci mare, Fugaci de țărm, Prundăraș gulerat mare, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Ciocîntors, Culic mare, Ploier argintiu, Sitar de mal and Sitar de mal nordic at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
