Description
The area around Errwood Reservoir is a good site for many upland woodland species such as Muscar negru, Codroș de pădure, Fâsă de pădure and Muscar sur and the best time to visit is in spring when the birds are in song. Pitulice sfârâitoare is also present some years. Fluierar de munte, Prundăraș gulerat mic and Rață mandarin can be found around the southern end of the reservoir itself and Ieruncă scoțiană and Culic mare are common on the surrounding moors. Pescărel negru and Codobatură de munte inhabit the stream to the south of the reservoir and several species of raptor can often be seen in flight over the valley.
