Description
Frenchman's Rocks is a useful seawatch point in late summer and early autumn, best when a SW or NW wind is blowing. Best views are from the hill next to Wavegen Power Station, called Rubha na Faing on the Ordnance Survey map. There is a car park at Claddach near Currie Sands beach.
Birds to see are Rață cu cap negru, Rață neagră , Cufundar mare, Cufundar polar, Cufundar mic, Ielcovan brun, Ielcovan atlantic mic, Ielcovan balearic, Leach's Storm Petrel, Lup de mare atlantic, Lup de mare, Lup de mare mic, Chiră polară, Pescăruș cu coadă scobită, Pescăruș cu trei degete, Sitar de mal nordic, Fâsă de stâncă, Pietruș and Fugaci de mare.
