Description
Gronant has 200 pairs of breeding Chiră mică and some Chiră de mare and Chiră de baltă. Several wader species, Vânturel roșu, Strigă, Rață neagră , Ciocârlie and Cânepar. On the 4 ha Big Pool reserve there are Presură de stuf, Lăcar de stuf, Cojoaică de pădure, Codobatură de munte, Muscar sur, Scatiu and Cârstel de baltă. Sand lizards, natterjack toads, pyramid orchids, sea holly, sea purslane and other wildflowers can be found in the dunes.
