Mere Sands Wood is a Lancashire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve. The lakes and reedbeds also support Cârstel de baltă, Presură de stuf, Rață sunătoare, Rață cu cap castaniu and more.There are multiple hides, and it's easy walking.
