Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. Pescăraș albastru nest sites on the island. The area also has a Lăstun de mal colony. Ciocârlie, Gaie roșie, Corcodel mare, Rață moțată. Occasional rarity, eg Rață cucuiată mică in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Mărăcinar negru, Pietrar sur, Caprimulg, Șorecar comun, Corb, Fâsă de luncă, Cuc, Pescărel negru or Codobatură de munte.

From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
