Description
Queen's Park is a public park in Crewe. There are several paths throughout the park, all well paved and suitable for wheelchair use. There are also lots of benches. The paths allow very close access to an artificial 4.5 acre lake (1) where you can see a large variety of waterfowl: Lișiță (sometimes with a colour ring), Găinușă de baltă, Rață mare, Lebădă de vară, Stârc cenușiu, Cormoran mare, Pescăruș argintiu, Pescăruș negricios. During winter months large flocks of Pescăruș râzător are gathering here. Ferestraș mare, Rață mandarin, Pescăruș sur and others can often be seen.
The lawn is often busy with Gâscă canadiană. In summer they often form big kindergarden groups of many goslings. Gâscă călugăriță can sometimes be seen with the other geese.
A shallow valley, known as the ‘Coronation Valley’ (2), runs north/south through the north-west quarter of the Park, with its small man-made stream where Mierlă, Sticlete and other birds are often seen bathing. There are also several bird-feeders along the route that attract Pițigoi mare, Pițigoi albastru, Țiclean, Pițigoi de brădet, Măcăleandru, Brumăriță de pădure, Coțofană and others.
The paths g othrough a landscape planted with a variety of trees and shrubs where one can find Gaiță, Florinte, Porumbel de scorbură, Cojoaică de pădure and even a Cucuvea. In winter the park is visited by Cocoșar, Sturzul viilor and in some years by Botgros.

Access
Queen's Park is located in Crewe, west from the town center. You can park in the car park (indicated with P on the map) or along Queen's Park Drive that circles around the park. National Cycle Route 451 from Crewe to Nantwich goes through the park. The park is also accessible by bus from Crewe town center. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1.7 km.
