Description
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Rață neagră , Rață catifelată and the rare Rață neagră cu ochelari together. Also wintering here may be Eider, Rață sunătoare, Ferestraș mare, Corcodel cu gât roșu, Corcodel de iarnă, all 3 diver species, Fugaci de mare and Ferestraș moțat.
Ciocârlie, Fâsă de stâncă, Scoicar, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Prundăraș gulerat mare and Cânepar breed here, plus Forfecuță, Scatiu and Aușel cu cap galben in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Silvie porumbacă, Pitulice cu sprânceană galbenă and Muscar mic may turn up in September.
