Description

Best vantage points are Ronach, Rhunahaorine Point and Tayinloan on the mainland, the ferry boat to Gigha, and the northern tip of Gigha. Wintering sea birds include Rață neagră and Rață catifelată, Ferestraș moțat, Corcodel de iarnă, Cufundar mare, Cufundar mic, Cufundar polar, Eider, Rață sunătoare and four auk species.

By road or bus from Glasgow, 120 miles. Regular ferry from Tayinloan to Gigha island. The ferry journey takes 20 minutes.
