Description
Tentsmuir Forest National Nature Reserve provides a variety of wildlife. The area has woods, mud and sand estuary, heath and sand dunes. Grey seals float effortlessly on their backs upriver on a rising tide, only their rounded noses showing above water. In September/October waders are varied (up to 13 species though not numerous). Rață de ghețuri, Rață cu cap negru, Eider, Rață sunătoare and Rață neagră offshore. Sitar de pădure, Aușel cu cap galben and Forfecuță in the woods. Mărăcinar negru, Mărăcinar mare, Pietrar sur and Fâsă de luncă on the dunes.
