Description

Coquille Parks and Recreation is largely ball fields (softball, soccer) and team sports facilities. It is bordered by wooded areas and includes a short but often productive wooded nature trail. The trail can be good for Yellow-rumped Warbler and Pine Warbler autumn through spring. Red-bellied Woodpecker, Carolina Wren, Tufted Titmouse, and Carolina Chickadee are present all year. Canada Goose, Killdeer, Great Egret, and Great Blue Heron can be found all year in the ponds and fields. Over time there have been 133 species observed here.

This is a good spot for birders needing accessible trails. It can be birded largely by car and the nature trail is accessible.
