Description
Get up early with high tide, before the dogwalkers appear, and the beach will have plenty of birds in easy reach of a short stroll. Кулик-сорока, Большой кроншнеп, Серая цапля and Травник are all likely on the beach around the waterline. Камнешарка, Серая ворона and Белая трясогузка ssp yarrellii may be more likely on exposed seaweed or flotsam around the tide mark. Грач is also possible. Хохлатый баклан is most likely hauled out on rocky outcrops, although Большой баклан is becoming more common in recent times. Озерная чайка is common with occasional Черноголовая чайка. Обыкновенная гага and Кряква are likely in the water.
For a slightly longer walk a path goes along the cliffs at the north end of the bay where Скальный конёк, Черноголовый чекан and Клушица could be encountered.
