Description
A mosaic of water, reed, swamp groves and grasslands in the excavated peat. That is De Deelen, in the heart of the province of Friesland. In autumn and winter, thousands of ducks and geese, including Свиязь, Белолобый гусь, Широконоска and Белощекая казарка come to De Deelen. Rare species such as Чёрная крачка, Рыжая цапля and Болотный лунь also live in the area. If you listen carefully, you may be able to hear the Обыкновенный сверчок singing in the spring. Other birds you can see here are Серый гусь, Колпица, Варакушка, Большой кроншнеп, Кряква, Хохлатая чернеть, Красноголовый нырок, Чомга, Канюк, Канадская казарка, Тростниковая овсянка and Речная крачка.

Small parking lot available. It is a walking area with some marked paths, Unfortunately also sometimes used by dog walkers. Has a small bird observatory. From the parking to the birdhide is about 1 km.
