Description

Nyksund is a tiny fishing village in the Vesterålen archipelago. Once a bustling hub for Arctic cod fishing, Nyksund was abandoned in the 1970s due to its remote location and outdated harbor. It became a ghost town, until a group of passionate creatives began restoring it in the 1980s and 90s. Every spring Моевка come back to Nyksund to nest. Around the village you can also observe Кулик-сорока, Обыкновенная гага, Длинноносый крохаль and Горная чечётка.
