The Foix Delta is located in Cubelles, Barcelona province. In its final stretch the Foix river runs through a heavily urbanized area. During spring and autumn, the river mouth is a good place to observe passerine migratory bird species like Рыжепоясничная ласточка , Рыжегрудая славка , Мухоловка-пеструшка , Тростниковая камышевка , Красноголовый сорокопут , and also shorebirds like Черныш , Травник , Большой улит , or Галстучник. Морской зуёк is one of the most iconic species. Other interesting species that occur are Жёлтая цапля , Рыжая цапля , and Водяной пастушок.
The following species are present all year round: Золотистая цистикола , Соловьиная широкохвостка , and Средиземноморская славка. Seabirds can also be observed resting or bathing in the lagoon, notably Черноголовая чайка , Пестроносая крачка , and Чайка Одуэна. At sea, notable species can be observed such as Обыкновенный буревестник , Левантский буревестник , Средиземноморский буревестник , and Северная олуша.

The Foix Delta is located in the town of Cubelles, about 50 km west of Barcelona. The area can be reached by car, and it is easy to park in the Municipal Sports Centre. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Public transport: Getting there by train is easy. The train station of Cubelles (1) is on walking distance (500m) of the Foix Delta. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,5 km.
