Description
I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of Золотистая ржанка and Малая крачка. Large numbers of Люрик, Малая чайка, Большой поморник, Короткохвостый поморник, Длиннохвостый поморник, Обыкновенный буревестник, Серый буревестник, Моевка and Глупыш can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.
Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Зарничка, Зелёная пересмешка, Малая мухоловка and Ястребиная славка may turn up in autumn.
Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
