Description
Broom Lakes are former gravel pits that have become a nice habitat with pools and wet meadows that are interesting for many water birds and waders. When you walk around Broom Lakes you can - depending on the season - see good numbers of duck, including Пеганка, Чирок-свистунок, Свиязь, Хохлатая чернеть, Серая утка and Кряква. Both Чомга and Малая поганка are often seen. Other birds that can be seen here include Речная крачка, Малый зуёк, Галстучник, Кулик-сорока, Чибис, Травник, Большой крохаль, Тростниковая овсянка, Обыкновенная овсянка, Красный коршун, Канюк and Пустельга обыкновенная.
