Description
Chafford Gorges is a beautiful nature reserve set in amongst a new build housing estate, with lakes overlooked by a huge white ravine. A network of pathways take you around lakes, meadows and woodland. Among the birds that you can expect to see are Обыкновенный зимородок, Большой пёстрый дятел, Зелёный дятел, Береговушка, Широконоска, Хохлатая чернеть, Малая поганка, Перепелятник, Камышевка-барсучок, Тростниковая камышевка, Славка-черноголовка, Черноголовый щегол and Соловьиная широкохвостка. In winter, the gorges are visited by birds such as Чиж, Горная чечетка and Красноголовый нырок.

The park is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station. When you choose to arrive by car there is a free car park on site. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
