Description
Chimney Meadows is a 300 hectare reserve, partly an NNR. Typical wetland fauna including otter, water vole, dragonflies, Болотный лунь, all three egret species, Водяной пастушок, Тростниковая овсянка, Тростниковая камышевка, Камышевка-барсучок, Обыкновенный сверчок, Соловьиная широкохвостка, Сипуха, Болотная сова and Чеглок. Also Черноголовый чекан, Луговой чекан and Обыкновенная овсянка. Flowers include adders tongue fern, vernal grass, tufted vetch, lady's smock and cowslip.

From Oxford take A420 west, after 18 miles go right towards Bampton, cross Tadpole bridge then right again to Chimney. For boaters, moor up near Shifford Lock.
